This handwoven weaving was derived from a texture study of the ancient weaving technique 'Soumak', originating from Persia and used mainly in rugs. A natural color palette allows the texture to come alive.

Fibers are combination of wool, beaded thread, cotton, polyester, and blends.

Dimensions: wooden dowel is 12" wide, weaving is 10" wide, weaving is 27" long

Lindsey of h o u s e \\ w e a v i n g is part architectural designer and part fiber artist. Each weaving is curated from start to finish through sketches, material palettes and various textural studies. Based in Portland, Oregon, she is surrounded and inspired by the beautiful landscape of the Pacific Northwest and strives to use local, recycled and fibers from small businesses found in the USA.
